We provide accurate and reliable measurements using state-of-the-art coordinate measurement systems (CMMs), CT scanners, and metrology-grade 3D scanners. Our advanced inspection capabilities help businesses ensure the dimensional integrity of their products through the inspection process.

Improving your Quality Control

Ensure Product Conformity: Our dimensional metrology inspections verify that your parts conform to your design specifications and meet precise tolerances and geometric requirements.

Identify Manufacturing Variations: Use our service to detect variations in part dimensions early in your production process to address issues promptly, reducing waste and costly reworks.

Enhance your Product Quality: Our inspections contribute to improved product quality and consistency, leading to higher customer satisfaction.

Our Equipment

We offer dimensional inspections using a range of measurement systems. Our multisensor CMMs are equipped with optics, laser, and touch probes, allowing us to conduct precise dimensional measurements of complex parts. Leveraging our 3D scanning systems, we can capture the dimensions of intricate surfaces and freeform geometries. Our specialized gaging systems provide efficient and accurate diameter measurements. We work with our customers to determine the best measurement tool for the inspection, taking into account the dimensions of the part, the tolerances, and the required accuracy.

RX Solutions EasyTom S

This CT scanner uses X-ray technology to penetrate the object being inspected and create 2D cross-sectional images, which are then reconstructed into a 3D image using specialized software. The resulting 3D image can then be used for dimensional analysis, defect detection, reverse engineering, and other applications.

OGP ShapeGrabber Ai620

A precision automated 3D laser scanner ideal for measuring complex shapes such as molded plastics, castings, stampings, and machined parts that are time-consuming, costly, and difficult to measure with a traditional CMM.

Solutionix C500

A structured-light 3D scanner that uses a combination of LED lighting and stereo cameras to capture high-resolution 3D models of physical objects. The scanner can capture 3D data with high accuracy and speed, allowing for fast and precise measurements of complex geometries with an accuracy of 10 microns.

Artec Micro

A compact and precise benchtop 3D scanner that uses blue LED structured light technology to capture intricate details and geometries of small parts with 10-micron accuracy.

Beta LaserMike

A non-contact benchtop gauging system designed to measure the diameter and ovality of a wide range of wire, cable, and other cylindrical products with high accuracy and repeatability. The system uses laser scanning technology to provide non-contact measurements, eliminating the risk of product damage or distortion.

Applications and Case Studies

Machined QVI Block Inspection - Manufacturing

This dimensional inspection was performed on our OGP FlexPoint multisensor CMM to measure the desired dimensions and evaluate the GD&T callouts indicated in the part drawing. This application showcases the functionality of the FlexPoint CMM, using optics and an articulating touch probe to measure complex surfaces and a laser to measure surface flatness.

Other Measurement Services

Surface/Form Metrology

Using our 3D surface profilers and CMMs, we can measure the topography and profile of the surface of your parts. Our measurement techniques include contact and non-contact profilometers and optical interferometers. This service is particularly important for parts that need to maintain a specific level of smoothness or flatness.

CT Scanning

With our partners at RX Solutions, we provide CT (computed tomography) scans to measure both internal and external dimensions of complex and intricate parts. The CT scanner creates a 3D image of the part, enabling us to measure every dimension accurately down to 6 microns.

Reverse Engineering/Product Digitization

Our 3D scanning equipment can accurately measure the shape and size of parts, providing a detailed digital model of the part. Our reverse engineering process can help identify defects, material inconsistencies, and optimize the manufacturing process. This service is particularly helpful when you need to compare the original design to the manufactured part or need to reproduce a part with a specific shape.
