This CT scanner uses X-ray technology to penetrate the object being inspected and create 2D cross-sectional images, which are then reconstructed into a 3D image using specialized software. Machined QVI Block Inspection - Manufacturing
This dimensional inspection was performed on our OGP FlexPoint multisensor CMM to measure the desired dimensions and evaluate the GD&T callouts indicated in the part drawing. This application showcases the functionality of the FlexPoint CMM, using optics and an articulating touch probe to measure complex surfaces and a laser to measure surface flatness.

Our measurement techniques include contact and non-contact profilometers and optical interferometers. This service is particularly important for parts that need to maintain a specific level of smoothness or flatness.
With our partners at RX Solutions, we provide CT (computed tomography) scans to measure both internal and external dimensions of complex and intricate parts. The CT scanner creates a 3D image of the part, enabling us to measure every dimension accurately down to 6 microns.
