3D Scanning Services

If you have a need to digitize a physical object but aren't quite ready to invest into your very own 3D scanner, we are here to help! Located on the West Coast, our 3D scanning specialists are often traveling from San Diego to Seattle, but can quickly visit you anywhere inside the United States to deliver exceptional service with our handheld devices.

With our portfolio of different 3D scanning technologies, including structured light, laser, LiDAR and photogrammetry, we can professionally meet the needs and expectations required in a variety of applications.

Our experts are highly experienced, passionate and insightful about the field and are excited to deliver you high-resolution 3D models.

Check out the technologies we use

Structured Light 3D Scanning uses a structured light projector to project patterns onto an object, which are then captured by a camera to create a 3D model. This technology can capture detailed surface information quickly and accurately, making it a popular choice for many industries.

Laser 3D Scanning uses a laser to capture precise measurements of an object's surface, creating a 3D model with high accuracy and resolution. Laser scanning is often used for complex objects or objects with intricate geometries, as it can capture highly detailed information.
LiDAR 3D Scanning is a remote sensing technology that uses laser pulses to create a 3D digital representation of the physical environment. It works by emitting laser beams from a sensor, which bounce back off objects in the environment and return to the sensor. The time it takes for the laser pulses to return allows for the calculation of distance and the creation of a 3D point cloud. LiDAR has become increasingly popular due to its ability to quickly and accurately capture detailed 3D data of large areas.

Photogrammetry 3D Scanning uses photographs of an object taken from different angles to create a 3D model. Photogrammetry can be done with a simple camera, making it a cost-effective option for many applications.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What are your rates?
Our rates are calculated based on travel, the time it takes to scan your object(s), and the technologies that are used.

We have a $250 minimum order.
What is typical lead time?
Lead time is approximately 5-10 business days. It varies depending on the availability of our 3D scanning experts.
What is the highest resolution and accuracy?
Our automated laser scanners can achieve accuracy as low as 10 microns.
What is the smallest object I can have scanned?
We scan things as small as a few millimeters (mm).
What is the largest object I can have scanned?
We scan objects as large as cars, airplanes and even buildings!
Can you come to our location for the 3D scanning?
Yes, we can bring all of our portable 3D scanners to you! Of course, we will need to charge you for any travel costs.
What type of files will I receive?
You will receive point cloud data or MESH (STL, OBJ, etc.) files.
Can you provide inspection reports?
Yes, we have a lab with several engineers that can provide reports, GD&T and much more.
